The new batch has finished its first checks and is now on the shop benches. Hoya kerrii, Calathea white fusion and a small batch of Alocasia zebrina arrived in good root and have had a week to settle.
We keep the first week deliberately quiet: stable light, no feed and water only when the compost reaches the dryness marked on the care card. That gives us time to see which plants are actively growing before they go online.
What to do in the first hour
- Remove the packing collar and paper sleeve.
- Check the compost before watering.
- Let the plant settle away from direct midday sun.
Most of this batch is in single figures. The Thursday email gets the first stock note, then anything left appears in New this week.
